Brooklyn Park Clinic expansion to bring more health care services and specialists to the NW suburbs

Hennepin Healthcare is completing a major expansion in Brooklyn Park. The Brooklyn Park Clinic, at the corner of Zane Ave. and Brooklyn Blvd., has doubled in size, added more specialists and opened a physical therapy gym and an onsite pharmacy.

“People need access to specialty care close to where they live and our expanded clinic brings more Hennepin Healthcare specialists and services to the northwest suburbs,” said Dr. Teresa Barrera-Anderson, Medical Director of Brooklyn Park Clinic & Pharmacy.

In addition to primary care, specialties and services available at Brooklyn Park Clinic & Pharmacy include OB/GYN, pediatrics, cardiology, diabetes education, general and podiatric surgery consultations, general surgery consultations, infusion therapy, lab, physical therapy, occupational therapy, radiology, mammography, rheumatology, chiropractic, acupuncture and orthopedics.

“The communities we serve are very interested in more holistic approaches to their wellness through integrative health care, so we are expanding access to chiropractic and acupuncture services in Brooklyn Park,” said Dr. Barrera-Anderson.

The 49-room, 26,500 sq. ft. clinic has doubled in size to include a new physical therapy gym and a full-service pharmacy.

The Brooklyn Park Clinic opened in 2010. Since then the clinic has been closely connected to the community, participating in the Northwest Family Services Collaborative, Northwest Teen Parent Connection, Northwest Healthy Communities Partnership and City of Brooklyn Park. It is also one of only three clinics in the state to offer an award-winning expanded Reach Out and Read youth literacy program that includes a math component and offers Pre-K screenings in partnership with the school district.
