Hennepin County Medical Center (HCMC) will present a draft of its Health Services Plan at a meeting at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, October 25, 2011, where the  public is invited to attend to learn more about the plan and react to current HCMC activities and health services planning. The meeting will take place at Whittier Clinic, located at 2810 Nicollet Ave. South, Minneapolis.  In addition to this public meeting, there will be opportunities to provide feedback online and by mail.

“As a public teaching hospital, knowing what’s important to our patients is essential to our planning,” explains Mike Harristhal, Vice President of Public Policy and Strategy at HCMC. “HCMC values the community’s input and we want to be responsive to their needs.”

The Hennepin County Medical Center Health Services Plan is an annual report that describes the health needs of the community and HCMC’s role in serving those needs. The plan will be available online for review starting Oct. 17 or a hard copy can be requested by calling 612-873-2271. A link to the plan will be available on this page when it becomes available next week. 

Hennepin Healthcare System, Inc. is a subsidiary corporation of Hennepin County. The Hennepin Healthcare System board of directors provides strategic leadership for the medical center. The Hennepin County Board has final approval of the mission, budget, major capital investments and the Health Services Plan.
